The new concept horse tether... designed to be strong enough to secure a horse yet safe enough to break in an emergency. For safety reasons, it is advisable to always tether horses with a deliberate breaking point between the horse and its securing ring. However, finding a breakpoint that is certain to give in an emergency is not easy. A loop of bailer twine is most commonly used, but can be extremely unreliable. The answer is now her in the form of Equitie.. its advanced design is sufficiently strong enough to secure a horse, yet safe enough to become an instant breakpoint should a horse panic. Equitie is length adjustable and moveable with its easy release clip and can be used in the stable, yard or horse box.

I bought these after one of our horses bruised a nerve pulling back. Easy to assemble and actually disassemble quite easily, handy if you are going somewhere you're not sure what the tying up situation is. No pulling back yet but we're ready for it now!

I have a youngster and this pack of 5 is great to have on the yard and I also keep a pack in the wagon too. Its reassuring to know that if I turn my back and he spooks and pulss its only the tether that will break and not him!

A safer and tidier option than baling twine.

Nicer than string or balertwine, only downside is my horses find them really irresistable and chew them at night! Also can be a bit slower when looping ropes through as the rubber makes friction.

Good quality, thick enough to hold a horse but still breaks incase of accident. A little pricy I think, but looks so much smarter than orange string.

Until my horse has really put it to the test I cannot really say much - but the system seems plausible
